Paul Leon has been a proud resident of Ontario since completing his military service in 1977. Over the decades, he has dedicated his life to working for, listening to, and uplifting the

community he calls home.

 

A Foundation Built on Hard Work

​

Before entering public service, Paul spent 3½ years proudly serving in the U.S. Army, followed by 15 years working in the trucking industry. This hands-on background provides a strong connection to the hardworking families that make Ontario thrive. Beyond City Hall, he continues to serve the community’s spiritual needs as the Senior Pastor of Hope Chapel.

 

Proven, Steady Leadership

Paul’s journey in local government began when he joined the Ontario City Council in 1998. His collaborative approach led to him becoming Mayor in 2005, a role he has held ever since. Over the years, Paul has ensured Ontario has a strong voice at the regional level, representing the city on boards for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), Omnitrans, and

the Los Angeles World Airports Board of Airport Commissioners.

 

A Champion for Our Youth

 

Paul is deeply passionate about Ontario’s next generation, dedicating thousands of volunteer hours to organizations that keep our kids safe and inspired. He has supported the Ontario Salvation Army and served on local Gangs and Drugs Task Forces.

 

He also coordinated local youth football camps to build positive alternatives for students.

 

His extensive community service has earned him honors like the Positive Choices for Youth "Exemplar" Award, the Chaffey Joint Union High School District Community Service Award, and the Latino Business Council's Community Leader of the Year.
