ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ONT) EXPANSIONS A decade after successfully fighting to bring ONT back under local control, Mayor Leon is guiding the airport into a monumental new era. The ambitious ONT BOLD expansion program is actively transforming our global gateway with a brand-new Terminal 3, sweeping modernizations to existing terminals, and upgraded roadways. Coupled with expanded TSA checkpoints for faster screening, we are ensuring ONT remains the most convenient, accessible, and dynamic transit hub in Southern California.

ONT FIELD & THE ONTARIO SPORTS EMPIRE We are transforming Ontario into the premier destination for regional athletics and entertainment. At the heart of the massive new 200-acre Ontario Sports Empire will be ONT Field—a state-of-the-art minor league baseball stadium slated to become a crown jewel for local sports. Beyond the stadium, this generational investment includes diverse athletic fields and an aquatics center, serving as a magnet for sports tourism and a powerful new economic engine creating thousands of jobs.

THE NEW TOYOTA ARENA ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT We are taking the Inland Empire's premier venue to the next level. The next evolution of the Toyota Arena footprint is the Arena District—a walkable, dynamic entertainment hub. With the addition of over 80,000 square feet of public open space and a pedestrian plaza, a performing arts theater, the California Sports Hall of Fame, luxury retail, and upscale dining, we are building a vibrant ecosystem where residents and visitors can live, dine, shop, and catch world-class shows all in one place.

DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION A thriving city needs a beating heart. We are pouring vital resources into breathing new life into our historic Downtown core. HONORING JAY LITTLETON BALLFIELD The tragic August 2024 fire at Jay Littleton Ball Park was a heartbreaking loss of nearly a century of Ontario’s athletic history and vintage cinematic charm. Mayor Leon stands with the community in a fierce commitment to preserving 

 

this sacred ground. We are exploring every viable path to honor our baseball heritage so that future generations can continue to gather and make memories on this historic site.
